  • Scenic Coastal Rides: Pedal through the charming towns and rolling hills of Michigan’s northwestern shore, including Mission Penninsula, Lake Charlevoix, and Torch Lake all on one trip

  • Farm-to-Fork Delights: Savor farm-fresh cherries and locally sourced fresh produce while exploring the region’s vibrant vineyards and farming culture. Eat fresh caught Lake Michigan whitefish or experience a farm raised Yak burger.

  • Unique Experiences: Enjoy a serene boat ride on a Tall Ship excursion and see the shorline from another perspective. Explore the bustling markets and festivities of Traverse City’s annual Cherry Festival. Additional Post - ride options include a visit to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and the Port Oneida Rural Historic District.

  • Signature Farm Dinner: Savor a curated Signature Gourmet Farm Dinner hosted at Lavender Hill Farms featuring the best local ingredients by the Little Bay Gourmet, a local gem in Northern Michigan.

Daily Riding Distance

  • Short Route: 30-40 miles (casual-paced rides )

  • Long Route: 40-65 miles (faster-paced rides )

    9am Welcome: We start our weekend with a meet & greet! Enjoy local pastries and coffee while connecting with fellow riders as we discuss day's and weekend itinerary.

    Scenic Cycling: Choose your ride: Both short, casual ride or a long, sustained rides are offered! Enjoy snacks and hydration at farm stops along the way.

    Highlight: Today’s ride takes us on a back road journey off the beaten path. The route winds through peaceful countryside with stops including Wagbo Farm and Education Center, where we’ll experience traditional homesteading skills like foraging, food preservation, and maple syrup making and Ernest Hemmingway.

    We’ll continue on to Kiwidinok Tibetan Yak and Petting Farm, a one-of-a-kind stop where you’ll meet yaks and other friendly animals while learning about sustainable farming practices.

    We break for lunch at a charming waterfront pavillion. Here, we’ll learn about the striking bronze sculpture “The Young Boy and the Stream,” a tribute that brings to life a rarely seen side of Ernest Hemingway’s youth and connection to this region.

    After lunch participants are welcome to continue their short ride back to the start or be transported back by transit van. After the ride, participants will have free time to explore the town on their own—or join us for an optional (complementary) guided local tour of the whimsical Mushroom Houses and the historic John Cross Fishery.

    8am Welcome: Enjoy local pastries and coffee as we discuss our ride and experiences. Ride Starts 8:45am

    Scenic Cycling: Choose your ride: short option: 37 miles 900 ascent

    Long Option: 45 miles 1200 ascent

    Today’s ride takes you through the fragrant beauty of cherry orchards and lavender fields, where you’ll enjoy a cup of lavender tea and pick your own fresh cherries straight from the tree. Along the way we will stop for a taste of locally brewed coffee before heading out to explore the historic Mission Point Lighthouse, perched at the tip of the peninsula with stunning lake views where we will enjoy a beach picnic.

    End On A High Note Lunch: Special Lunch treat to end the ride before enjoying the first day of the Cherry Festival in Downtown Traverse City.

    (We have arranged complementary shower and facility usage at the Traverse City YMCA to our participants for those who will like to stay downtown. We will provide shuttle service as needed )

    The day is left for you to explore downtown Traverse city and Cherry fest. Enjoy the unforgettable National Cherry Festival Air Show headlined y the U>S Air Fore Air Combat Command F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team and the US Marines F-38B Lighting II Demonstration Team.

    Set sail on the Great Lakes Discovery Sail, a unique way to experience the region from the water, set sails and learn about the sailing and fishing industry of Northern Michigan.

    The tour is officially over after lunch. However, those looking for one last experience of Northern Michigan, a single day pass into the Sleeping Bear dunes is provided to our guests to enjoy the beautiful lake Michigan..

    Suggested Accommodations:
    We recommend booking lodging in Charlevoix, where rates will be more affordable due to increased demand in Traverse City during the Annual Cherry Festival.

    • Day 1: The ride and gourmet farm dinner will take place in Charlevoix.

    • Day 2: The ride will start and end in Traverse City. Complimentary shuttle service will be provided by Farm to Fork’s private Transit van, offering hourly transportation between Charlevoix and Traverse City until 9:00 PM on Saturday.

    • Day 3: The final ride will also begin and end in Traverse City. The tour concludes in Traverse City, with an optional complimentary shuttle available for those returning to Charlevoix.
