Farm To Fork Fondo Rules

  1. Wear a helmet.

  2. Ride your favorite bicycle. We welcome any type of bike. We welcome e-bikes and appreciate how accessible they make our sport. Hybrids, gravel bikes, mountain bikes, recumbents, and elliptical bikes are all welcome. While a road bike will always be the most efficient, we encourage you to ride whatever you’re most comfortable on.

  3. Obey traffic laws. We’re proud to say that our rural routes have hardly any traffic lights. But our courses are not “closed” and the roads remain open to cars, so abiding by the rules of the road is imperative. And it’s the law.

  4. No littering or watering. Please do your part to keep our host communities in great shape. No littering or public urination. Aid stations will have trash cans and restrooms, so please hold it until then!

  5. Look out for each other. When riding in a group, please adhere to general cycling courtesies like calling out potholes or debris and riding in an organized fashion on the side of the road. It’s just more fun for everyone.

  6. Say “Thank you!” Each farmer deserves to hear it. As do the many volunteers who give their time to make our events great. Please show them your appreciation.

  7. Have fun! It’s going to be a spectacular day on the bike, so make sure you enjoy it!

Additional Information

Medical assistance. Medical supplies will be on hand at the start/finish and each aid station will be stocked with first aid supplies. In the event of an emergency out on the road, please call 911. Then alert us to the situation using the number on your wristband.

Mechanical assistance. Course support mechanics will be on hand at the start/finish to help get you rolling in the morning. Aid stations will be stocked with spare tubes and some tools. We also suggest carrying a few tubes and a pump or CO2 cartridges just so you don’t get stuck out there.

Course support vehicles. We’ll have some help for you out on the course. If you can’t keep going because of a crash, or mechanical trouble, our course support crew and/or emergency shuttle can pick you and your bike up and take you to the next aid station or back to the the start/finish.

Policies

Entries are non-refundable. Our company is still small and growing, so cancellations affect us greatly. Sorry, but no deferrals to next year's events either.

Entries are transferable. If your plans change and you can't make it to an event, you may either transfer your registration to another event within the same year or have a friend take your place. You must make a transfer at least one week prior to your registered event. Transfer requests made within one week of the event cannot be fulfilled. A $20 transfer fee applies to all transfers. Please do not re-sell your entry. Access your entry from your registration confirmation e-mail or contact us for help.

Discounts are not stackable. Only one discount code may be used per registration. This includes voucher codes and merchandise credits.

Donations are encouraged. We make it easy for participants to help support our host communities by including a donation to the Farm Community Fund in your registration. 100% of the funds raised go directly to support the mission of the Farm Community Fund, fostering vital farms, open spaces, and resilient communities. Participants who wish not to donate may register over the phone and request not to donate.

Things outside of our control. In the very unlikely event that one of our venues gets hit by a hurricane, or some other natural or man-made disaster that is outside of our control, we may have to cancel rides and entire events. In that improbable scenario, we can't refund any entry fees.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You can submit questions to us from our Contact Form

  • Each aid station will have a unique 'small bite' featuring local ingredients. They'll also all be stocked with water, energy drinks, gels, chews, bars, and fresh fruit. If you need a spare tube, first aid, or an Allen wrench, we'll have you covered there, too.

  • A road bike is the best bet for all the courses, but almost any type of bike will do. Most routes are fully paved but some of our routes have some gravel sections. Mountain bikes, cyclocross bikes, triathlon bikes, and commuter bikes could all get the job done.

  • We have bicycle rental partners at most of our events—check your event page for our recommendations or contact us. When renting, make sure you mention that you are a registered Farm to Fork Fondo participant.

  • We’ll have a fantastic day, rain or shine. Unless the weather gets apocalyptic, we’ll send riders off on our four ride options.

  • No, the Farm to Fork Fitness Adventures are rides, NOT races. We want you to enjoy each farm stop and the pastoral landscapes. But we will have a few timed sections in the Fondo rides if you want to stretch your legs and get competitive in the Segment Challenge.

  • Nope, no cycling license is needed!

  • We love dogs, but since our host venues are farms with other animals and livestock present, and due to restrictions related to our event insurance, dogs are not permitted at Farm to Fork Fitness Adventures.
